Transparency and Accountability
At Solidarity Works! International, transparency is a core principle of our work. We believe that trust is built through openness, honesty, and accountability to the people we serve and the supporters who make our work possible. Our non-profit organization is 100% volunteer-run, and no member of our team receives financial compensation. Every donation directly supports our current initiative, Masafer Yatta Action! in Palestine.
We are committed to the responsible and transparent use of all funds. Donations are allocated according to clearly defined needs and priorities on the ground. No more than 12.5% of all donations are provisionally allocated to essential operational costs, including administration, legal compliance, accounting, banking fees, data protection, software and server subscriptions, and website hosting. Any unspent portion of these allocated funds is automatically redirected to the Masafer Yatta Emergency Fund, ensuring that as much as possible directly supports affected communities. 87.5% of donations go directly to the Emergency Fund for unarmed civilian protection operations and emergency relief, including rebuilding efforts, food and medical assistance, safe transportation for children, and legal aid for affected families.
The Emergency Fund is held by the At-Tuwani Village Council in Masafer Yatta, whose nine members decide on the allocation of available resources at their discretion. The Council reports regularly on fund usage and activities.
We publish regular project and financial reports to ensure that donors and partners can trace how every contribution is used. In addition, we adhere to ethical fundraising standards and comply with all applicable financial regulations for non-profit organizations.
For us, transparency means not only financial openness but also clarity in decision-making, partnerships, and impact. We welcome inquiries from supporters, journalists, and institutions, and we commit to responding truthfully and comprehensively. Together, we uphold the values of solidarity, justice, and accountability — ensuring that every act of support translates into tangible impact for those affected by violations of human rights, humanitarian law, and international criminal law, both locally and globally.
